The Time is Now

Our dream is finally going to become a reality!! The first month of the decade in January will hold many exciting outcomes for The Historic Stanley Home Foundation and for the permanent protection of the 1904 home of F.O. and Flora Stanley. If you have not taken the opportunity to become a charter member of this mission by donating to the capital campaign, NOW is the time!

There is an excellent chance that the home and grounds will be purchased on January 31st. We must, however, raise enough funds in January to push across the finish line. We are very optimistic because the remaining amount needed is relatively small - with a late show of new donations, we can fulfill our mission.

Another exciting pursuit is the placement of the home on the Colorado Register of Historic Places. The Review Board will determine the outcome of our request this month. If successful, the home will not only be accorded this rightful honor, but it will enhance our prospects of receiving future grants for renovations to the home.

We are also pleased to report that the Foundation recently received two grants that are contingent upon the purchase of the home. One is from History Colorado and the other from the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado. The purchase will further strengthen our cause with the receipt of these awards.

The Stanleys: A Legacy of Inspiration

There is no better way to gain perspective on the mission of The Historic Stanley Home Foundation than to view our recently released video, which expands on the life and accomplishments of F.O. and Flora Stanley. This museum and educational center will be a monument to the legacy of F.O. and Flora Stanley, who gave and accomplished so much for this community.
